Are you curious as to what Adam is able to provide to help with your event? In addition to a positive and enthusiastic attitude, Adam also has the following tools available for every step along the way. Adam uses industry standard hardware, enabling a frictionless production week process.
Console Hardware:
ETC Nomad
Adam is able to connect to any venues ETC Eos lighting network, allowing a venue operator to remain at the venue console without needing to relocate or provide console access during production week. During rehearsals outside of the venue, Adam is able to set base cues and looks based on current rehearsed blocking, to make sure the show is as current as possible.
Chamsys magicq compact connect
Adam’s console of choice for music and most live events, the Chamsys Magicq compact connect is used across Europe for lighting and video content control. With a powerful effects engine, as well as an inbuilt media server and robust LED pixel mapping, this console is flexible enough to busk a small acoustic rig or conduct 64(!) universes of an internationally attended music festival. Recently, Chamsys included 3d tracking into its consoles, enabling quick focus pallet updating, as well as real time moving light object tracking.
GrandMA2/3 onPC
With the firm hold that GrandMA has on the North America event space, Adam has a comfortable working relationship with both the grandMA2 and the grandMA3 workflow and programming environment
ART Net DMX nodes
Most venues will have enough lighting control channels an access points to not have to worry. However, when that is not the case Adam relies on up to 16 control universes that can be placed anywhere needed. This comes in handy at music festivals and small club environments where additional lighting control and fixtures are required. By using additional universe nodes placed around the venue, an event is able to quickly and greatly expand the lighting opportunities available, from individually addressable LED strip lighting, to pixel mapped blinder walls as examples.
Wireless DMX
Not everything that lights up has to have cables attached to them. Rolling Vanities, glowing briefcases, moving storefront windows to name a few things Adam has helped magically illuminate. A small transmitter can control up to five separate receivers, allowing your set to look much less cluttered and dangerous with tripping hazards.
Design Software
WYSIWYG
Adam is a certified WYSIWYG programmer and designer, with a full copy of WYSIWYG Perform. This allows both a complete and detailed design paperwork package, as well as an industry leading venue and stage virtualization suite. Adam is able to take a concept drawing and virtually recreate it exactly as it will look as a final product. This allows your production to save time at the venue with the ability to virtually place set pieces, as well as identify and address any potential issues that might occur prior to installation. Additionally, as creative inspiration strikes, updates and changes can be applied and experimented with to expand production week workflow.
Blender
With a knowledge of world class 3d modeling software, Adam is able to recreate custom set pieces to integrate into a virtual space of any size, allowing your show to be accurately represented in the virtual venue.
Timecoding
Understanding that some ideas are either too complex or needing to be synced exactly to be triggered live, Adam has created a workflow to ensure any such idea can be executed perfectly. With discussion about where specific beats and timing aided by precise timing notes, Adam is able to quickly program a sequence and refine it until it syncs perfectly. By doing this, time is saved on show day, without the need to take up rehearsal and warm up times making adjustments and edits on site.
Adam believes that by providing an accurate and detailed design package, your even can be a low stress success.
Beginning with initial consultation discussing any broad requests and storyboarding to get a feel of what is needed, Adam can customize a virtualized theatre to allow a shows creative look to evolve in a ‘low consequence’ environment which encourages finding the exact right feel for every moment.
Once the production has access to the venue, Adam then will ensure that any gear is placed and set up correctly, and that the event has some ‘visual bones’ to quickly build a refined and polished event
